GREECE CENTRAL GREECE FOKIS DELPHI GYMNASIUM

Southeast of the Castalian Fountain, just below the modern road, extends the gymnasium of the 4th century BC, with Roman extensions. Built on two levels, you see a once covered collonade (xystos), next to it a track in the open air (paradromis), both exactly the length of the stadium.

On the lower level of the gymnasium a circular bath, a palaestra for wrestling and a number of other buildings served for the training of the athletes.
