Southeast of the Castalian Fountain, just below the modern road, extends the gymnasium of the 4th century BC, with Roman extensions. Built on two levels, you see a once covered collonade (xystos), next to it a track in the open air (paradromis), both exactly the length of the stadium. |

On the lower level of the gymnasium a circular bath, a palaestra for wrestling and a number of other buildings served for the training of the athletes. |
